The CTEA Board of Directors hope the beginning of your school year has started out on a positive note. We are sure that you all are getting into the “teaching groove” and are now beginning to think about professional growth opportunities. One such opportunity is upon us – the 31st Annual CTEA Conference on October 6 – 7, 2016.
The 2016 CTEA Annual Conference will be held at Colorado Adventure Point, 10455 West Sixth Avenue, Suite 150, Denver, CO 80215. This venue provides the perfect balance of classroom presentations, interactive labs, “fun” areas, and vendor space. Your CTEA Board of Directors is pleased to continue this partnership with Colorado Adventure Point.
This year we have the honor of having Jason Cloyd to be our General Assembly speaker. Jason is the leader of Solidworks Worldwide Education and Research team. He will be sharing with us insights into what colleges are looking for from our CTE students and how we can help them meet those requirements. Jason brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and energy. Don’t miss this great opportunity to hear a Colorado born and bred speaker who is known for getting everyone engaged.
The CTEA Annual Conference is an opportunity for career and technical education/STEM/Tech Ed/Industrial Arts teachers to gather, exchange ideas, learn new tips and techniques, and to celebrate professional accomplishments.
Continuing Education Credit
Each participant at the 2016 Rocky Mountain CTEA Conference will receive a Certificate of Attendance for 15 contact hours of participation. The CTEA Board of Directors is working hard to secure college credit for participating in the conference. We will let all members know as soon as we secure a partnership.
Call for CTEA Board Officers
Each year positions on the CTEA Board of Directors become available. Unfortunately, we have few, if any, members step up and volunteer for vacant Board seats. If you would like to take on a leadership role and help direct the future pathway for CTEA, please contact me at [email protected]. I would be more than glad to provide a description of the Board positions and their responsibilities.
